A late night standoff ends peacefully Sunday after a man threatens to kill his family. Tulsa Police officers were called to a home near 25th and Nogales around 10:30 PM Sunday.

They say a suicidal man was holding his family hostage inside. Officers were finally able to make contact by phone and talk the man out. Authorities say it was a potentially deadly situation that could've wound up much worse.

Tulsa Police Captain Brad Clark: "He threatened to kill his wife and two children, the wife was able to leave and call us.”

Police say he surrendered around 1:30 AM Monday. The District Attorney will have to decide what charges could be filed.
