Blue Panorama of Italy and First Choice Airways of the United Kingdom have announced plans to buy ten Boeing 7-E-7 passenger jets. Terms of the two deals remain under negotiation, but a statement issued by Boeing says agreement on orders should be completed this year. Blue Panorama plans to order four of the 230-passenger Dreamliners and First Choice, formerly Air 2000, expects to buy six. The two charter carriers are the first operators in Europe to choose the 7-E-7, which is scheduled to enter service in 2008. All Nippon Airways ordered 50 in April and Air New Zealand opted for two last month. The jets are made in Washington state, but wing components are made at Boeing's plant in Tulsa.
