(Daytona Beach, Florida-AP) -- NASCAR driver Jimmy Johnson didn't win this weekend's race, but he held on to the series lead for another week.
Johnson finished second to remain 27 points ahead of second-place Dale Earnhardt Junior. That's the same margin he went into the race with. Earnhardt Junior finished third in the race at Daytona International Speedway.
Johnson's teammate, Jeff Gordon, won the race to move into third place in the standings.
The series now heads to Chicagoland Speedway for the Tropicana 400.
