BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) _ Funeral services are scheduled Monday for former state Rep. H. Wayne Cozort.
Cozort, a Broken Arrow Republican who served in the Oklahoma House between 1984 and 1996, died Wednesday. He was 72.
Cozort advocated across-the-board government deregulation, according to Rep. Larry Ferguson, R-Cleveland, Cozort's desk mate for many years.
Ferguson said Cozort ``was very much a man of his word and had integrity. You never had to question where he stood on an issue.''
Cozort was a Marine Corps veteran who believed his work in the juvenile justice area was one of the pinnacles of his career.
Cozort, a builder, was responsible for development of nearly 1,000 homes in the Tulsa and Broken Arrow areas.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, two sisters, five brothers and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
