More than 800 folks lined up Friday for a chance to work for the new Cherokee Nation Casino Hotel in Catoosa.
Its part of a two-day job fair the Cherokee Nation is hosting to fill 500 positions. Job hunters can apply for everything from entry-level to management, hospitality to security. You can fill out an application, take an assessment test, and interview with a manager all at once.
Long lines, heat and humidity didn't keep the room from staying full. Christian Rogers: "I was really surprised I got here kinda early and there were already people lined up, and its hot today so you have to just sweat and bear it."
The Cherokee Casino job fair will continue Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM in Catoosa at Admiral and 193rd East Avenue. For more information call 384-7984.
There is a Native American preference, but all are welcome to apply.
