(AP)Separate accidents killed a Watson teenager and two others on Oklahoma roads Saturday morning, authorities said.
Dustin James Blake, 13, was riding his dirt bike south on a McCurtain County road about 10:15 a.m. when he had trouble making a curve and ran off the road into a ravine, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Blake suffered head injuries after being thrown from the vehicle and died at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel about 12:45 p.m., troopers said. The teen wasn't wearing a helmet.
Joe Marlin Baker was wearing a helmet when he was thrown off his motorcycle in Pontotoc County about 8 a.m.
Baker was headed north on a county road when his motorcycle hit a rock that was elevated in the road, causing the vehicle to flip onto him, the patrol said.
Baker, 65, suffered a neck injury and was pronounced dead at the scene.
In Osage County, an elderly Bartlesville woman was killed when her vehicle left U.S. Highway 60 and struck a tree.
Wilna Lane, 81, suffered head and internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the 7:05 a.m. accident about 10 1/2 miles east of Ponca City, the patrol said.
Troopers believe she overcorrected after her car went off the highway and then struck the tree.
Lane was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
