New developments on a Tulsa city council standoff that led to a rare cancellation of a council meeting last week.

Four city councilors skipped the meeting which forced the cancellation. They said Monday they were upset about being forced to pick a new council chairperson before the newest city councilor was seated. They say their attempts to delay the meeting were ignored.

Councilor Jack Henderson: "The main point was not showing up was that I thought the whole council should have been at the first meeting and that's all nine councilors."

The councilors say they'll drop their idea to reconsider having Randy Sullivan as council chair - but they want some changes to the rules to make sure they can change council chairs if they want to.
