TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Brandon Diles had 12 carries for 56 yards to lead the offense in a University of Tulsa scrimmage Saturday.
Diles, who will be a sophomore, scored the game's first touchdown on a 2-yard run that capped an 11-play, 65-yard drive. He scored the last touchdown on a 4-yard run to finish a series that began on the defense's 10-yard line.
The scrimmage concluded Tulsa's spring football drills.
Tulsa quarterback James Kilian completed 10-of-27 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown. Paul Smith was 9-of-19 for 119 yards and two interceptions. Smith tossed a 27-yard touchdown pass to Ashlan Davis and scored again with a 20-yard pass to Darrell Wimberly.
Other touchdowns came on Cauvey Jackson's 3-yard run, Kilian's 7-yard pass to Landon Keopple and Rodney Tucker's 1-yard run.
Davis had four receptions for 44 yards. Jermaine Landrum had four catches for 28 yards.
The longest play of the day was Kilian's 43-yard pass to Jammal McCullar on the game's fourth play, setting up Brad DeVault's 24-yard field goal.
DeVault was 2-for-2 on field goals, also connecting from 34 yards. Kristian Foster was 3-for-5, making field goals from 19, 37 and 20 yards, but missing from 38 and 24 yards.
The biggest defensive plays of the game were interception returns of 20 yards by Jeff Thibodeaux and 30 yards by Clint Rountree.
"I feel we gave great effort," Tulsa coach Steve Kragthorpe said. "I was hoping that we'd stay injury-free, and we did that, so it's a very successful day."
Tulsa is scheduled to open the 2004 season at Kansas on Sept. 4.
