It's no secret. Robberies of businesses and banks are on the rise in Tulsa. The same holds true for regular citizens, 39 people have been robbed by someone with a weapon since January 1st.
Sharon is one of them. She was leaving her house to go to work at 5:30 AM when a man put a gun in her face and demanded the money out of her purse and her wedding rings. It was a terrifying experience and she's thankful she only lost her possessions. "This is what could've happened, I could be laying here with a bullet in my shoulder or my head or my truck could be gone or in my house raped. All I can say to women, is be careful."
Tulsa Police say give robbers what they want, because nothing is worth your life.
They say it's good to be able to identify your possessions, either with pictures or serial numbers and get the best description of the suspect you can.
