An accident shuts down a busy Tulsa highway Sunday night. It happened shortly after ten o'clock at 4500 South US Highway 169.
Tulsa Police say a man driving a pickup truck blew a tire. He parked it against the center wall and after a few minutes decided to climb over the wall and walk for help.
Tulsa Police Corporal CJ Jackson: “the pedestrian whose tire blew out decided to cross the southbound lanes of 169 here and unfortunately was struck by 2 cars as he was trying to cross."
The man was critically injured and was taken to the hospital. We don't have his name or his condition.
Traffic was backed up when officers shut down the highway at 41st Street. No one else was hurt.
