Git-N-Go has filed chapter 11 bankruptcy. The News on 6 was first to tell you about the development. The company will continue to operate under court protection from its creditors. Git-N-Go announced last week that it was closing several local stores.

Approximately 75 locations will stay open in Oklahoma and Missouri. The Tulsa-based convenience store chain said the filing was a result of "substantial losses over several quarters."

Git-N-Go claims the bankruptcy filing will have no effect on the remaining stores.
