(McAlester-AP) -- A father and son in McAlester are dead after a fire burned their mobile home.

Investigators say the bodies 53-year-old Tommy Mangrum and 31-year-old Tommy Joe Mangrum were found in the bathroom of the home. A 10-year-old girl who also lived in the home escaped uninjured.

Assistant Fire Chief Harold Stewart says it appears the two men tried to put out the fire, but were overcome by smoke.

Investigators say an electric heater in a bedroom may have started the blaze.
