(Dallas-AP) -- Big 12 baseball coaches think Texas will lead the conference this season.
Oklahoma State was picked as Number 5 and Oklahoma as Number 6.
Texas won the NCAA championship in 2002 and went to the College World Series last season with a 50-and-20 record. The Longhorns have four returning starters and eight returning pitchers from the 2003 team.
Baylor was picked 2nd in the poll, and defending regular-season champion Nebraska was 3rd. Texas A&M was voted 4th.
Coaches can't vote for their own teams, so Texas got the most first-place votes possible with nine. The Big 12 has only ten baseball teams because Colorado and Iowa State don't field teams.
