(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The FBI is seeking more diversity in its ranks.
The federal agency has posted a billboard at Interstate 35 in south Oklahoma City encouraging minorities and women to join the FBI.
FBI Special Agent Gary Johnson says the agency is looking for individuals with various backgrounds who have a strong desire to serve their country.
Johnson says those individuals may get an opportunity to join the front line on terrorism.
Starting annual salary for an FBI agent-to-be is $43,705. Once agents get their first assignment, pay jumps to a minimum of $53,743.
