It's music to some Tulsa students' ears. Cox Communications teamed up with the VH1 "Save the Music" Foundation to present $55,000 worth of new musical equipment to Tulsa’s Madison Middle School and Burroughs Elementary Tuesday.
The new instruments will help the schools continue to build up their music programs. VH1 says the study of music is a crucial component of a well-rounded education.
Laurie Schopp with VH1 Save the Music Foundation: "They're inspired to come to school. We know that their creative thinking skills are enhanced."
VH1 started the Save the Music Program in 1997.
