(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Oklahoma City Council agreed Tuesday to spend another $1.7-million for construction of a Bass Pro Shops in the city.

The additional money means Bass Pro's rent on the building will increase by $120,000 to $730,000 a year.

The council agreed last year to spend more than $17-million to help bring Bass Pro to the city. The money is to be paid back through lease payments and increased sales tax collections.

The additional money will cover the cost of a pond and additional sales space for Bass Pro.
