OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Audre' L. Henry, mother of Gov. Brad Henry, died Sunday night in a hospital in California at age 67.

The governor's office said Mrs. Henry had been battling complications related to diabetes.

Governor Brad Henry and other family members were at her side when she died.

Mrs. Henry, a school teacher and administrator, lived in Modesto, Calif., with her husband, Mark Hamilton.

Her last visit to Oklahoma was in January when she attended Henry's inauguration as governor.

Burial services for Mrs. Henry will be held in Shawnee and arrangements are pending.

The Henry family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mrs. Henry's name to the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, a nonprofit organization that supports Oklahoma public education.
