OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Budget reductions have forced the state Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission to terminate seven employees.

Four senior agents, two customer service representatives and one program network administrator were let go in an effort to save about $300,000, Director Keith Burt said Thursday.

An eighth employee is retiring, Burt said.

The reduction in force was based on seniority, Burt said.

The fired employees will remain on the payroll until Sept. 1, Burt said. They will be paid for their annual leave, receive their next longevity check, and the next 18 months of their insurance will be paid.
