An alert citizen is credited with stopping a burglary in progress. Tulsa Police say around 4:30 Wednesday morning a citizen saw two men trying to break into a gentlemen's club on 11th Street.

With that tip, officers arrived just as the men took off in a car. They were stopped a couple of blocks away. Tulsa Police Sgt Daniel Ford, “they've cut the wires at the club, they've cut the power and the phone wires and were trying to knock out what they thought was the outside alarm siren when the citizen called us.”

Police found a sledgehammer, wire cutters, cell phones and other tools in the car. Officers are checking to see if they might be connected to other similar burglaries.
