Tulsa Police arrest alleged purse snatcher

After the News on 6 showed a surveillance video last month showing a man and his partner snatching a grandmother's purse in the 71st Street Kohls parking lot, a Channel 6 viewer called Crimestoppers.

The viewer recognized the purse-snatcher as a student at Tulsa's Street School. Tulsa Police detectives went there, showed school leaders the tape and sure enough, made an arrest.

A good Samaritan had chased the robbers that day and gotten the woman's purse back, but detectives still wanted to make an arrest, in case other victims weren't so lucky.
