Great news for a Shawnee family. Monday, we told you about an Oklahoma man reportedly missing in action over in Iraq.

Tuesday, we are happy to tell you that the soldier is safely back with his unit inside Iraq. His family spent 24 hours not knowing if he was a prisoner of war or dead.

The family told us he was part of the group that was ambushed by Iraqi troops. But he escaped and made it back to his unit.

The family says they will continue to pray for the safe return of all American military personnel.
