With spirits high and old glory in the lead, volunteer runners make their way into Oklahoma Sunday to symbolically finish the intended flight paths of three hijacked planes.
American and United airlines pilots, employees and other volunteers began their relay October 11th at the Boston Logan Airport where two of the four terrorist-hijacked airliners departed. The runners will carry the flag out of Oklahoma into Texas Wednesday morning.
The Flag Across America relay will end November 11th at the Los Angeles International Airport where three of the hijacked airliners were scheduled to land.
