OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A 23-year-old inmate at the Oklahoma County jail has been found dead in his cell.

The inmate, Alan R. Kemble of Moore, was arrested by police at 3 a.m. Monday on a drunken driving complaint. He was placed in a cell with another inmate, said police Sgt. Rochelle Thompson.

A jailer checked on Kemble at 9 a.m. and he appeared to be fine, but he was found dead about 45 minutes later, she said.

No visible signs of trauma were found on his body.

The cause of death is being investigated by the state medical examiner's office.

This is the second death at the jail this year.

On Thursday, David J. Walker, 31, of Oklahoma City was found unresponsive in a cell about 5:40 p.m. He was taken to St. Anthony Hospital where he died at 6:37 p.m.

The hospital was unable to determine a cause of death.

Walker had been arrested on a drug complaints.

Last year, seven deaths in the jail were investigated. No criminal wrongdoing was discovered. Each death was investigated by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
