(Dallas-AP) -- The Dallas Mavericks have exercised a one-year option on former Oklahoma basketball star Eduardo Najera's contract.

The 6-foot-8 Najera played in 40 games last season, starting in four.

During the regular season, he averaged 3-point-3 points and 2-point-4 rebounds in nearly eleven minutes a game.

He also averaged three points and 2-point-1 rebounds in seven playoff games.
