CASPER, Wyo. (AP) _ College of Southern Idaho passed Western Texas College in Saturday's final round to win the men's College National Finals Rodeo title.
Among the women's teams, Oklahoma State University held on to win.
Western Texas led the men's teams for most of the five days of competition. At the end of the day Friday, Western Texas had 580 points while Southern Idaho had 510.
Western Texas finished with 862.5 points. Southern Idaho's winning score was 925. Fort Scott Community College, of Kansas, came in third with 530.
The all-around cowboy title went to Southern Idaho's Cody Demers.
Demers tied for second in bareback riding and finished third in saddle bronc riding Saturday. Overall, Demers was second in bareback riding and third in the saddle bronc event.
The University of Wyoming's women's team came within five points of Oklahoma State entering the finals round.
Oklahoma State pulled away Saturday and ended up with 585 points. Nevada-Las Vegas finished second with 490 and Wyoming fell to third with 375.
Individually UNLV's Suzanne Montero ousted Wyoming's Sunnie Fish as the top all-around cowgirl. Montero had 440 points to Fish's 155.
Montero finished first in goat tying both in the final round and overall. She was fourth in breakaway roping Saturday and was fifth in that event overall.
