Plastic water bottles, cans of pop, and newspapers are often found at Tulsa City parks. Now, thanks to a new program, recycling those items will be much easier to do. Tulsa City Parks and Tulsa Recycling has teamed up to bring recycling bins to 11-area parks. The recycled materials will be collected by Midland Recycling, a partner with the City in this pilot program. Wednesday, Sparky and Binnie, mascots from both departments taught kids at the Whiteside Community Center how to sort materials for the new project.
