(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A traveling medical clinic leaves Oklahoma City for a trip to Afghanistan.
The mobile clinic was built by Cherokee Trailers in Oklahoma City for Bridges International of Broken Arrow.
Bridges is a nonprofit humanitarian group that works with Medics International to provide medical aid in underdeveloped nations.
The trailer will carry dental, optical, hearing and general medical equipment. It will also carry about 300 blankets, more than $100,000 in medical supplies and four-thousand pairs of eyeglasses donated by the Lions Club of Midland, Texas.
The trailer will be driven to Galveston, Texas, shipped to Pakistan, then driven to Afghanistan.
