One man is behind bars; another suspect is still at large after a burglary at Bixby North Elementary School early Monday morning.
School officials got back thousands of dollars worth of TV's, VCR's, computer and radios that were taken. Bixby Police say the burglars smashed through a side door to get inside.
Once inside - the burglars broke classroom windows, stole the items and took them to a nearby ditch. Police were called to the scene after a silent alarm alerted them. The school principal, Doris Shipman, says janitors came in early to clean up the mess before class. "It's a very safe place with the alarms and the cameras and hopefully they'll learn that and it will be the last time."
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene. Another suspect was able to get away. School officials are confident the suspect will be caught since the whole incident was captured on videotape.
