Some local churches are commemorating the first anniversary of September 11th by opening their doors to area Muslims.

The Tulsa Network of Churches Uniting in Christ is organizing a series of open houses beginning this week which give people of different faiths a chance to share their beliefs.

Today Mona Alkady presented an Egyptian Muslim perspective on the events of September 11th to the members of Trinity Methodist Church, "We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those who lost their loved ones in the September 11th violence. Christians, Muslims, Jews, and all others included."

Four other Tulsa churches are hosting similar open houses this month.
