DURANT, Okla. (AP) _ Former Oklahoma tailback Brian Odom has transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma State where he will be eligible to play this season.

Odom, who had seen limited playing time in two seasons at OU, disclosed this week that he was transferring.

He ran for a school-record 5,917 yards during his career at Ada High School, including 2,490 his senior season.

``I feel that our program and his talents are an excellent fit for each other and he should feel right at home as a Savage,'' Southeastern coach Keith Baxter said Friday.

Southeastern opens its season Sept. 7 against Ouachita Baptist University.
