NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Mark Rodgers, a sports anchor and reporter at KWTV in Oklahoma City, has been named sideline reporter for radio broadcasts of University of Oklahoma football games.
Rodgers joins play-by-play announcer Bob Barry Sr. and analyst Merv Johnson.
``As someone who grew up in Oklahoma and listened to OU football, it's a great honor and privilege to be a part of it as a broadcaster on the network,'' Rodgers said.
Barry, about to begin his 24th year of calling Oklahoma football games, said Rodgers is ``an up-and-coming sportscaster who will add a great deal through his knowledge of broadcasting and the game in general.''
Oklahoma opens its season Aug. 30 at Tulsa.
