The chairman of Oklahoma's Corporation Commission threw her hat into the ring for Oklahoma Attorney General Tuesday.
Republican Denise Bode promised to be a strong advocate for Oklahoma consumer interests and protect taxpayers from government fraud and mismanagement.
But Bode says her first priority would be leadership in law enforcement. “We are facing a situation with drugs in this state. We are number two in meth labs in this state, we have crumbling jails, and we have tremendous problems with gangs, especially in the Tulsa area. We need real leadership at state levels to address this problem.â€
Bode is an attorney with a home in Oklahoma City and a ranching operation in Western Oklahoma.
