The hours at the City of Tulsa Animal Shelter - won't be changing after all.
The shelter had announced a cut in hours to manage a staff shortage because of budget cuts. A popular spay and neuter clinic on Saturday would have been cancelled because of the cutbacks.
The mayor’s office, in a news release, announced Thursday morning “regardless of staffing problems, closing the shelter on Saturdays is completely unacceptable."
The cuts were to have taken effect next week.
