(Okmulgee-AP) -- Okmulgee police say they're still looking for a reason why a local man would shoot his wife, then kill himself.

Officers say Norval Neff died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on Wednesday after he critically wounded his wife by shooting her in the head. Lois Neff remains hospitalized in Tulsa. A hospital spokeswoman says Neff's family is requesting that no information about her condition be released.
