(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Deer Creek football coach Ron Smith is accepting the same job at Owasso High School.

Smith coached Deer Creek to the Class Three-A state football championship last season and was 33-and-14 in four seasons at the school. He was an assistant coach at Midwest City for 17-years before moving to Deer Creek.

At Owasso Smith replaces David Fisher, who left for a coaching job in Texas.

Owasso has gone 26-and-9 over the past three seasons.
