The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is looking for a hit-and-run driver that struck a child who was trying to cross the highway Saturday. A 7-year-old boy was struck by a car traveling westbound along Interstate 44 between Lewis and Peoria. The impact threw the boy over a center wall where he was struck again by a driver traveling east. That driver did not stop. Oklahoma Patrol trooper Jerry Reagan says, "he was going south from the apartments across the interstate. He made it into the west bound lane where he was struck by a white BMW and he was vaulted across the center wall where he was struck by a second unknown vehicle." OHP says the boy was dead when they arrived. His name has not yet been released.
