ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) — The Rev. Billy Graham looks forward to being home for the holidays after being discharged from the Mayo Clinic, the clinic said.
After two weeks of treatment to adjust a shunt that drains fluid from Graham's brain, his medical team was ``very pleased with his progress,'' the clinic said in a statement Thursday.
``He is looking forward to being home for the holidays, and thanks his many well-wishers for their thoughts and prayers,'' the statement said.
The shunt relieves fluid pressure on his brain, a condition called normal pressure hydrocephalus.
Graham, 82, who lives in Montreat, N.C., spent three months at Mayo this summer being treated for Parkinson's disease and fluid on the brain.
