A young Tulsa boy was in fair condition Thursday morning after falling into a trench at Tulsa’s Webster High School. Witnesses say several children were playing around the hole as their parents watched Wednesday night when one boy fell in the trench. The boy lost consciousness, and he stopped breathing.
A passerby was able to resuscitate him before emergency crews arrived. Witnesses tell The News on Six that the trench has been uncovered for about two weeks. “I would believe that it should have been covered up,†said security guard Keri Black. “Somehow it should have been better marked to show that it was a dangerous and cautious situation.â€
Local contractors have been working at the high school during the day.
