(Tulsa-AP) -- Prosecutors are recommending a five-year prison term for a Jenks man who allegedly violated a protective order and killed a man.
Jeffery Phillip Lacy pleaded no contest yesterday to first-degree manslaughter. The 30-year-old told police he acted in self-defense. Lacy faces sentencing November First for the January slaying of Joseph Edward Williams in Broken Arrow.
Police reported that Williams violated a protective order by going to the home of his estranged wife, Linda. A fight broke out in the home between Lacy and Williams, who was unarmed. Williams was stabbed multiple times with a hunting knife.
