(Tulsa-AP) -- The Tulsa men's basketball team will face seven opponents who made post-season appearances last spring.

Tulsa faces N-C-Double-A tournament teams Kansas, Creighton and Fresno State. The Golden Hurricane will face North Carolina or Winthrop in the N-A-B-C Classic.

Tulsa will play N-I-T participants Arizona State, Southwest Missouri State and Southern Methodist.

Coach Buzz Peterson says it's a tough schedule but a great opportunity for the basketball program.

Peterson says his goal is for Tulsa to be at its peak when the conference season begins.

Tulsa finished 32-and-5 last season and advanced to an N-C-A-A tournament regional for the first time in school history.

Tulsa's first home game will be November 17th against North Texas.
