(Tulsa-AP) -- It's a good thing that when Thomas Glapion fell off a hiking trail in the Rocky Mountains he fell into a reservoir.
The Oklahoma State defensive end from Colorado suffered a torn hamstring when he hit the cold water in the accident Memorial Day weekend. He has yet to be cleared for varsity drills, which were to begin today.
Glapion estimates that the hamstring is 75 percent healthy. He guesses it will be a few weeks before he is OK’d to play.
The timing of the injury is frustrating for Glapion. He had shown coaches during spring drills that he was ready to become a force on the team. He says he's determined to get well and get back to playing football.
