(Wichita Falls-AP) -- Offensive lineman Erik Williams was a no-show today -- the first day of practice at Dallas Cowboy training camp in Wichita Falls. His absence is apparently due to problems over his contract with Dallas.

Team owner Jerry Jones would not give any details other than to say he knew Williams might not show up -- and he's since spoken with the player's agent. Jones said the team will treat the absence as if he was injured and make temporary lineup adjustments. Jones says Williams is subject to a fine -- but wouldn't say for sure if he'll be punished.

Dallas kicked off workouts by fielding 88 players this morning. A military fly over and a skydiver display were part of today's show at Midwestern State University.

The Cowboys are 24-and-24 the last three years with just one playoff victory.
