The man who helped take on Big Tobacco spoke today in Tulsa.
Doctor Jeffrey Wigand was a key informant in the government's investigation of the tobacco industry, and subject of the Disney movie "The Insider."
Wigand gained national attention when CBS shelved a 60-minutes interview with him because they feared a lawsuit from the tobacco company Wigand worked for.
The investigation that followed led to a historic settlement with Attorneys General of 40 states.
Wigand spoke Saturday at a youth rally for Students Working Against Tobacco, or SWAT about the industry's targeting of teens.
" If you can shut off the addiction in three-thousand kids a day, you essentially have provided for better health, long-term, for a lot of folks,†says Wigand.
Wigand says he considers the states' tobacco settlement money an "inheritance" for America's youth.
