(Bartlesville-AP) -- For two years, the law forced David Littlesun to visit the grave of Sean Conover, who Littlesun was convicted of killing in a 1996 drunken-driving accident.
Sunday, when Conover would have turned 23, Littlesun will not be forced to be at the grave to hear stories about Conover from his victim's family.
That's because Littlesun has run into even more trouble since his 1998 manslaughter conviction, including arrests for assault, perjury and a probation violation.
Now in jail and facing having his eight-year jail sentence re-imposed, authorities say Littlesun can no longer be allowed out of jail to visit the grave.
Though the issue could be revisited at a July 14th hearing, Conover's mother, Mitsuye Conover, says she's simply glad for the two years Littlesun had to meet her son.
