(Vestal, New York-AP) -- A section of New York's Southern Tier Expressway became the "Milky Way" for a few hours today.

Authorities say a tanker loaded with six-thousand gallons of milk overturned early this morning near Binghamton.

A section of the expressway -- also known as Route 17 -- was closed for a few hours.

Police say most of the milk flowed into storm drains which empty into the Susquehanna River.
