HENNESSEY, Okla. (AP) -- Two men pistol-whipped a customer, tied up a store clerk with duct tape, locked a delivery truck driver I na back room and a family in a freezer during an early morning robbery at a convenience store in Hennessey.

Kym Koch, spokeswoman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, said the men stole cash, cigarettes and beer in the robbery of the Love's Country Store about 4 a.m. Sunday. The men wore masks and were carrying guns.

Koch said the men, who were in a 1980s white Suburban, walked into the store and tied the clerk up with duct tape. When a delivery truck driver for the Oklahoman walked in, he was taken to a back room.

Then an off-duty police dispatcher came in and was locked in the bathroom. Koch said a 16-year-old boy came in and made some comment about the store's condition. He was pistol-whipped and thrown into the parking lot.

The boy's father got of out of the family's car and started talking to the men to try to prevent them from hurting his son. The robbers took the entire family into the store and locked them in a freezer.
