(Storrs, Connecticut-AP) -- A couple of Connecticut freshmen basketball players reportedly are being investigated for allegedly discussing a swap of game tickets for shoes with employees at a Hartford-area clothing store. Doug Wrenn and Tony Robertson were suspended for Saturday's Michigan State game for an off-campus incident last month. Coach Jim Calhoun wouldn't elaborate on the incident but said he found out about it Thursday. Four T-V stations reported Monday night the two are the subject of a police investigation stemming from the clothing store incident. The store manager apparently stepped in and prevented the transaction, according to the reports. Neither police nor the university would comment on the investigation. Wrenn and Robertson didn't practice Monday. Calhoun says he would make a decision on their return as soon as he feels comfortable that he has all the information that he needs.
