Tulsa detectives are investigating an apparent suicide at a city firing range.

Detective Corporal Clay Asbill said the woman, believed to be in her late twenties, and an instructor were on the range when she suddenly put a handgun to her head and fired about mid-evening Thursday.

Asbill said investigators found a note, which they believe the woman wrote, but he did not discuss its contents.

Detectives are continuing their investigation.
