A Rogers County father who left his infant son in a hot truck for hours will not spend time in jail.
46-year-old Daniel Glen Spitzer pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter. Last June, Spitzer was supposed to drop off his 5-month-old son Benjamin at day care.
Instead, he went to work and forgot to take the baby out of his truck. Benjamin died of heat stroke. The state Medical Examiner ruled the death accidental.
Spitzer will serve 5 years probation.
