After months of speculation, Boeing officials say a plan to sell their Wichita and Tulsa plants, will either be settled or ditched this month.
Boeing CEO Harry Stonecipher told the Wichita Eagle that talks have accelerated over the last month and a half, and say workers should know something in the next 10 to 20 days. The leading contender to buy the operations is said to be Toronto investment firm Onex Corporation.
Stonecipher also said there is nothing to indicate that a sale will lead to layoffs.
